"We are inviting different football clubs/teams all over the country to showcase their skills and talents. This annual event is considered as one of the biggest soccer tournaments outside of Manila," relayed Quisido via e-mail sent to different media outlets.
The week-long competition features the men's open division, 40-above, boys/girls 17, boys 14 and boys 12 following the 11-aside format. There will also be a players 10 category, mix boys and girls for a 9-aside system of play.
For out-of-towners, Quisido said CAFC will provide free accommodation and internal transportation upon confirmation of their entries.
Each team shall be composed of 25 players, two officials and one officiating official for all categories except the players 10 which shall have a maximum of 18 players only with two officials and one officiating official.
Exciting cash prizes are up for grabs, with the champion in the men's open taking home P30,000 plus medals and trophy.
The top performer in the 40-above will pocket P10,000, medals and trophies will be given away to all age-group category winners.
To take up important matters and other concerns relative to the Cebu Football tournament, CAFC is calling for a coaches meeting on April 16 at Jollibee-Raintree Mall outlet.
Registration fee is pegged at P5,000 for the men's open and 40-above, while age-group entries will be assessed with P1,000 per team.
