For several years now, Aboitiz sponsors the Aboitiz Football Cup here in Cebu and is usually held in San Roque Parish Football Field and other fields. San Roque Parish Football Field is owned and operated by the San Roque Parish Church in Subangdaku, Mandaue City. It is the home of San Roque Football Club (SRFC), which comprises of several teams for different age brackets.

3rd ECCP Soccer Cup in Cebu

Another regular tournament held in Cebu is organized by the European Chamber of the Philippines (ECCP). Here is an archived news about this popular Cebu Football tournament.

ECCP held its 3rd Soccer Cup this Sunday, June 7, 2009, at the Cebu International School Football Field. This seven-a-side tournament featured twenty teams coming from the IT/BPO, Manufacturing, Furniture sectors from member companies of ECCP and invited non-members.

Sykes, Aegis top football festival

SYKES and Aegis People Support ruled the inaugural Home Sweet Home 9-a-side Inter Corporate Football Festival at the San Roque Parish football field last Oct. 25.

Sykes outlasted Tsunieshi via shootout to top the nine-team men’s division, while Aegis People Support got past Convergys in the women’s final.
