Free trip to World Cup 2010

UPDATE: We need more votes to help a fellow Filipino win this FREE trip to World Cup 2010. Remember to vote daily on CES Theater of Dreams until April 15.
  • Indonesian Children's Wish on Football - 1549 votes
  • The Sheep Cup - 1552 votes
  • 55.000 Singaporean Soccer Fans and Me – A story of Delusions and some Underwater Chess - 2907 votes
  • CES Theater of Dreams - 1078 votes
I can only imagine what you guys would do to be able to watch World Cup 2010 for FREE. That's right! An all-expense-paid or FREE trip to World Cup 2010. What one needs to do is to join the Sony Ericsson's contest for Asian bloggers. The lucky winner gets the free trip to World Cup 2010 plus a spanking new Sony Ericsson handset. Sadly, the contest closed last March 20. But luckily, one of Philippine's top sports journalist got in the Top 20. With your votes (1 daily vote to "CES Theater of Dreams" until April 15), we can help a fellow Cebu Football enthusiast not only be part of World Cup 2010 but also, he might bring something back to our ailing football industry.

Mike Limpag, a respected columnist from Sun.Star, submitted his heartwarming story about CES (Canduman Elementary School) and their passion for football. Below is an excerpt of the article:

AT THE crack of dawn in one small patch of grass that barely qualifies for a football pitch—or a playground even—a group of youngsters start their thrice-weekly grind of football drills. While most of their schoolmates are just waking up, they are off greeting the dawn as they warm up for the day’s exercise. And as the rest of the students troop to school, members of the football team—from six-year-olds to 12-year-olds—toil under coaches Jun Santillan, Elmer Yonting, Eric Colina, Nick Sanchez and Mario Ceniza, who serves as a consultant, for the day’s final workout.

We may not win the FREE trip to World Cup 2010 but we can help a fellow Cebu football enthusiast. For me, him winning is just like me winning too. You can cast your votes here. Look for the article "CES Theater of Dreams" and click thumbs up.
